Dramatic dashcam footage capturing a brazen hit-and-run collision on Highway 401 in Toronto has sparked outrage across social media platforms and renewed calls for improved traffic enforcement on Canada’s busiest highway. The incident, which occurred during peak traffic hours, shows the alarming moment when a driver deliberately sideswiped another vehicle before speeding away from the scene.
The video, which has been circulating widely online since yesterday, depicts a dark-colored sedan aggressively changing lanes without signaling before making contact with a silver SUV near the Allen Road interchange. The impact sent the SUV spinning across multiple lanes of traffic, narrowly missing several other vehicles before coming to rest against the concrete barrier.
