A new research study has revealed that drinking at least two cups of coffee daily could significantly reduce the risk of heart failure. Scientists analyzed data from over 12,000 participants across three major health studies spanning more than 10 years.

The findings, published in the American Heart Association Journal, suggest that individuals who regularly consumed coffee had a 30% lower risk of heart failure compared to non-coffee drinkers. Dr. Maria Rodriguez, the lead researcher, noted that “the relationship appears to be dose-dependent, with the greatest benefits observed in moderate coffee consumers.”

However, researchers caution that adding high amounts of sugar and cream may negate these health benefits. “The protective effect seems strongest with black coffee or coffee with minimal additives,” explained Dr. Rodriguez.

The study also found that the benefits plateau at about 4-5 cups per day, with no additional advantage to drinking more. Excessive caffeine consumption can lead to sleep disruption and increased anxiety in some individuals.
